This piece captures the familiar tension of the mid section on Dust II, framed through the Lower Tunnel archway. I wanted the scene to feel calm on the surface, but charged with history underneath.
 
I’ve also introduced a subtle element, a quiet nod to one of the most iconic moments in CS history, s1mple’s four Aces at IEM Cologne 2021. It’s not meant to jump out immediately, but to reward those who know the story.
 
This work is painted traditionally in oils, with a focus on light, atmosphere, and believable space not just recreating the map, but capturing how it feels to be there.
