Oil Painting of Anubis - A Site from Counter Strike 2.

Anubis is an absolutely stunning map in counter strike. There are a lot of sections in the map with interesting lightings and after playing around the map and studying through thumbnail sketches, I decided to paint the A site, particularly capturing the contrast of light areas around heaven on right vs the darks on left The warm afternoon light on the Egyptian architecture was very interesting to paint. Capturing the roundness of columns, juggling the different values across painting and detailing with intricate hieroglyphs was challenging, but I am pleased with how the painting has turned out and hope you like it as well.
