Anubis is an absolutely gorgeous map in counter strike. After painting A Site previously, it was only a matter of time before I brought B Site to life on canvas.
This painting is inspired not only by the warm, golden light of the afternoon sun hitting the ancient Egyptian stonework, but also by the moments witnessed while playing the map. Hope it reminds you the rush through the smoke, the blinding flashes over the walls and clearing the nooks and corners.
Painting the curved columns, intricate hieroglyphs, and atmospheric depth was both a challenge and a joy. I’m proud of how this piece turned out and hope it captures the spirit of map.
